Super Junior Lee Teuk and So Nyeo Shi Dae Sunny will be the MCs to upcoming SM girlgroup f(x)’s debut showcase.

f(x) will be having their debut showcase today on 2nd September in Seoul SamsungDong SeomYoo Centre and will be the first performing stage for the group.

SM Entertainment revealed that Lee Teuk and Sunny has accepted the job as the MCs with the hope to help out their juniors.

There will be able 150 fans chosen through the internet and also So Nyeo Shi Dae and SHINee members present at the showcase.

The group will perform their debut title song ‘LA chA tA’ and also preview the MV to the song during the showcase.

Big Bang GARA GARA GO!! the first overseases artists enter the Japanese top 5

Big Bang's first Japanese major album "BIGBANG" debuted at #3 in the weekly Oricon album charts dated August 31, 2009. This makes Big Bang the first overseas artists ever to enter the Japanese Top 5 with their first three consecutive releases, i.e. their debut album, their first single ("MY HEAVEN") and their second single ("GARA GARA GO!!").

Meanwhile, their best of album "ASIA BEST 2006-2009" which was released on the same day as their first major album debuted at #20 in the weekly album charts. At the same time, it ranks 4th in the weekly overseas album charts.

Their live DVD "2009 Big Bang Live Concert 'Big Show'" is at #1 in the Oricon music DVD charts and at #5 in the rental DVD charts.

In a thank you message to the fans posted on Aug 27 at the official Japanese blog their Japanese staff described Big Bang as a band who is - just two months after their major debut - continuing to make the transition from artists representing Korea to a band representing Japan and even all of Asia. They thanked the fans for all of their support which made it possible to achieve such a great success in Japan. Together with Big Bang themselves they want to work just as hard so the band can continue to be just as successful with their future Japanese activities and releases.

WonderGirls will be ending their concert tour with the Jonas Brothers

Group WonderGirls, who are currently promoting in America, will be ending their concert tour with the Jonas Brothers.

It will be their last time doing the opening act for the Jonas Brothers’ concert on 31st August in Canada Ottawa Scotia Bank.

The girls have been following the Jonas Brothers for their concert tour since 27th June, moving from state to state starting from Portland on 51 concert performances in front of about 1.5 million fans. Initially it was set for the girls to perform only on 13 concert performances, but after 4 concert performances, the girls were offered to perform with the Jonas Brothers until 31st August.

Meanwhile, the girls will be having a fansign and public performance event on 6th September.

Di artikel majalah GQ edisi September ini banyak hal yang cukup menarik perhatian gue:

1. DBSK dan Johnny’s Entertainment menyebarkan gaya “Hosomacho” dan gaya DBSK banyak ditiru club host.
2. Korea tidak menyadari kepopuleran DBSK di Jepang (baca: underrating).
3. Agar bisa masuk toplist artis di Jepang, DBSK harus memeras keringat selama 5-6 tahun atas hasil mereka sendiri, tidak ikut-ikut ketenaran hallyu wave.
4. SM berencana membuat boyband dengan 6 member seandainya DBSK keluar.

So here’s the rough translation:

Desember lalu, ketika DBSK mulai menyanyikan Mirotic dan menari dengan baju yang memperlihatkan dada mereka, para fans tidak bisa berhenti menonton bahkan mengelus-ngelus TV mereka. Meskipun wajah-wajah itu tidak asing, badan mereka seakan-akan bukan milik DBSK. Image DBSK saat promosi album keempat mereka sama sekali berbeda dengan artis-artis SME lainnya. Kedua dinamakan “Yankees”, yang memiliki image nakal dan pemberontak. Baru yang ketiga “THSK Style”. Mengapa DBSK (atau TVXQ atau THSK, you name it) harus dibuat kategori sendiri? They simply don’t fit into the Lolita thing nor Yankees. Mereka berimage mature, sexy, luxurious sekaligus multitalented. Gaya ‘mewah’ DBSK ini sekarang banyak ditiru oleh host-host club di Jepang seperti di Gabukicho, Shinjuku. Orang Korea mungkin akan mengaitkan kata ‘club host’ dengan konotasi negatif dan berbau seksual, namun di Jepang menjadi host adalah pekerjaan populer bagi anak kuliah. Mereka hanya menyajikan alkohol dan menemani tamu ngobrol tanpa menyediakan sexual intercourse.

Dulu di club-club tersebut beberapa hostnya menggunakan gaya JE, namun sekarang dapat dilihat bahwa beberapa dari mereka jelas-jelas mengikuti gaya salah seorang member DBSK.

Karena banyak sekali grup idola Korea yang populer di seluruh Asia, orang-orang Korea menyangka bahwa ketenaran DBSK sama saja dengan artis lainnya. Termasuk popularitas mereka di Jepang. Benarkah begitu?

DBSK telah menjual hampir 200ribu kopi single terbaru mereka hanya pada minggu pertama saja. Ini membuat mereka berada di posisi dua dalam rekor penjualan pada Avex, agensi terbesar di Jepang. Satu-satunya grup yang mengalahkan DBSK adalah Exile yang beranggotakan 14 orang dan berpengaruh pada industry musik di sana. Rekor ini juga bahkan mengalahkan Amuro Namie, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi dan BoA sendiri.

Mereka juga membuat pencapaian besar dengan enam kali menjuarai ranking penjualan single di Oricon yang paling bergengsi di Jepang sana. Sejak tahun 2000, banyak sekali artis yang mencoba masuk pasar Jepang seperti SES, Sugar, Park Junghyun, Rain, Se7en, SS501, Yoonha, K, Sunmin, Big Bang dan SJ. Namun hanya dua yang dapat posisi satu di Oricon chart, yaitu BoA (sekali) dan DBSK (enam kali). Mereka juga dengan suksesnya diundang ke Tokyo Dome dan mengadakan dua kali solo concert disana pada bulan Juli lalu. Tokyo Dome banyak diimpikan bahkan oleh artis Jepang sendiri, suatu kehormatan besar bagi artis pendatang untuk mengadakan konser disana.

Tetapi, seperti yang kitab suci katakan, “Seorang nabi tidak akan dihormati diantara umatnya sendiri.” Somehow, pencapaian sensasional oleh DBSK selama 5 tahun tersebut tidak pernah diapresiasi dengan baik di Korea. Juga, sangat menyedihkan melihat kesuksesan single terakhir mereka dicemari oleh kasus YooSuJae vs SME yang tak kunjung selesai dan rumor-rumor disbandment.

Mereka bukanlah artis yang ikut-ikut ketenaran artis lain dan hallyu wave. F-ING NO. Mereka bahkan meminta media Jepang untuk tidak mengasosiasikan nama DBSK dengan Hallyu. Mereka meminta pers untuk menarik artikel yang merelasikan DBSK dengan Hallyu wave. Mereka tidak mau dikenal sebagai artis numpang nampang, menunggu artis seniornya sukses dulu di Jepang baru ngikut debut agar jalan mereka lebih ‘mulus’. DBSK ingin dikenal dengan nama sendiri melalui usaha sendiri.

Rumor perpecahan antaranggota menjadi topik panas juga di Jepang. Media di sana membuat acara harian agar fans-fans DBSK ter-update oleh berita terbaru artis idola mereka. Hal ini bahkan membuat CEO Avex harus turun tangan untuk menenangkan para fans, dan meyakinkan mereka kalau aktifitas DBSK di Jepang tidak akan terganggu. Tampaknya pembagian keuntungan oleh agensi Korea mereka mengejutkan orang-orang di Jepang yang terbiasa dengan pemberian gaji setiap bulan dan jumlahnya dapat berubah. And Japanese could only love them even more.

Karena keadaan di Korea yang kacau total, DBSK harus sekali lagi mengambil hati para fans Koreanya. Sudah banyak rumor yang mengatakan bahwa ‘fans-fans DBSK yang tidak setia’ sudah siap men-support boyband baru beranggotakan enam orang yang dipersiapkan SME kalau-kalau DBSK keluar.

Fans Korea terkenal fanatik namun cepat berubah pandangannya. Dan DBSK seperti nabi-nabi yang tidak dihormati oleh ‘umatnya’ sendiri.

Untuk vote Top Singer Turned Actor (Penyanyi yang jadi Aktor) yang dibuka oleh DC Inside selama periode 30 Juni – 7 Juli 2009, dan total 20.409 suara yang masuk untuk ikutan polling. Di belakang Rain, ada Kim Hyun Joong dan Lee Seung Gi. Walaupun udah lama ga keluarin serial ataupun film korean, ternyata Rain masih dianggap yang paling sukses transformasi dari penyanyi ke aktor. The hot stars Rain (aka. Jung JiHoon) and Goo HyeSun had gotten together to film a commerical for a bakery brand TuReJuRul.

Rain was next in like for the CF after Jo InSung had left for the army service. In early August he started to film with Goo HyeSun. Despite his tough and charismatic image, through this commerical, he will show a playful and smooth image for TuReJuRul. [SharingYooChun] Seoul Central District Court officer revealed on August 26th that a representative of CREBEAU (위샵플러스) cosmetic company had filed lawsuit against SM Entertainment in charge of defamation issue on August 4th.

CREBEAU representative said, “The problem that is filed by 3 members who are also investors in our company is something to do with the unfair distribution income and to terminate the exclusive contract effect. The “Boys Over Flowers” character, Lee MinHo has recently been in a fan meeting scam.

On one Thailand site, they were selling tickets to a Lee MinHo fan meeting with the exact date and the location as well. What is the catch you ask?

Only the fact that this fan meeting wasn’t even going to take place. On the 26th, when Lee MinHo’s entertainment heard about this news, they firmly stated “We never have been notified of a fan meeting in Thailand, and we are not looking forward to any.”

In addition, they stated, “We were surprised to hear that there had been a scam. We need to act fast on it because everything would just end up hurting the fans.” On the sites it stated that on October 24th, 2,000 people will be gathering at the Bangkok HuAhMakInDo Stadium. They sold the front seats for 800 dollars with the hotel and food included, and rest of the seats for around 200 dollars.

The site even states that Lee MinHo will sing 2 songs, play games with the fans, and a movie will be shown to the fans as well.

In episode 18 of "Celebrity Goes to School," Shin-dong visited his alma mater, Sewon High School. He told the current students about his own school years and showed them his childhood pictures.

Shin-dong also talked about his first love, which he had never done before. The group won 5 consecutive #1 on KBS Music Bank and 3 consecutive #1 on SBS Inkigayo, as well as topping various online music charts, taking the Kpop realm by storm with the song ‘I Don’t Care’.

The veil to Asia pop dance group f(x) has finally been lifted.

The group will be having their first showcase in Seoul SeomYoo Centre on 2nd September – inviting all media and music fans to their first performance.

The showcase will take place for about 1 hour, performing their debut song ‘Lachata’ and also revealing the MV to it. Each member will also show off their own charms and talents on stage for individual performances.

It is said that SM artistes like So Nyeo Shi Dae and SHINee will be attending the showcase to give support to the group’s first ever performance.

GDragon of Big Bang has been moving up fast on offline music album sales.

A YG Entertainment representative said on 25th August, “GDragon’s first solo album was released offline later than planned on 21st August. And the album sales as of until 24th is 100K.”

“Currently we are still receiving orders for GDragon’s first solo album. We have ordered for another 200K copies to be manufactured at the factory.”

And on Hanteo chart GDragon’s first album has sold over 40K copies, and is the #1 album sales for the week of 18th August till 24th August.

The reason to why the sales volume reported by Hanteo and YG Entertainment is different is that their methods of computing the album sales are different – Hanteo measures nationwide album sales while the entertainment company measures output volume.

A filming scenes from Dong Bang Shin Ki member UKnow YunHo’s upcoming debut drama ‘Heading the Ground’ have been released.

The photos were released on 24th August and features UKnow in a rain scene. In the photos revealed, it shows the scene where UKnow’s role in the drama was not able to anything right even though of his shooting abilities because of his reckless character. In the end, he ended up doing part time in a chicken restaurant and went through some hardship working there.

In the scenes, UKnow’s character has gave his shoes shoes to HaeBin (acted by Go Ara) who has broken her heels.

2NE1 has revealed their hidden talent through broadcast programme.

2NE1 was on KBS 2TV ‘Entertainment Weekly’ aired on 22nd August in an interview and when asked by reporter Kim TaeJin about their ability in foreign lanaguages they said, “We know 6 foreign languages from Tagalog, to French, to English to Japanese.”

And in the interview, Sandara Park introduced herself in Tagalog, CL in French and Gong MinJi in Japanese language.

U-Know Yunho revealed his thoughts regarding his first attempt at acting with his fellow TVXQ members cheering him on.

On the August 21st episode of MBC ‘Section TV Entertainment News’, the shooting for the poster of MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Heading to the Ground’ was aired. U-Know Yunho, Ara, Lee Yoonji and Lee Sang-yoon were present at this location.

When asked about his thoughts regarding his first attempt at acting, U-Know Yunho wittily replied using the drama’s title and said, “I feel like I’m heading to the ground.” Regarding the reaction he was getting, he said, “The other members told me that they think I’ll do well and that they support me 100%. They said that the character is very similar to me since we both have a lot of charm.”

Lee Sang-yoon, who has to play a role who constantly fights U-Know Yunho and riles him up, did not say much as he took TVXQ fans into consideration and said, “He’s doing the best that he can.” Lee Sang-yoon also made viewers laugh by subconsciously sitting straighter and looking more nervous when the subject of TVXQ’s fans Cassiopeia came up during the interview.

‘Heading to the Ground’ is a love story that results from the misunderstandings that arise between passionate yet unlucky Bong-goon and Kang Haebin (played by Ara), a girl who has everything but wishes to succeed on her own.

U-Know Yunho plays the role of Cha Bong-goon, a man who lives an unlucky life, having almost died three times, but still lives a passionate life in order to fulfill his dream of playing on the national soccer team. The first episode airs on September 9th.

SM Entertainment announced on the 7th, "With the lawsuit filed by the 3 DBSK members, we are unable to go ahead with the planned concert. We have no alternative but to postpone it indefinitely." SM Entertainment: Is it really a Hell Hole?

Some people think SM Entertainment is terrible, but are they really that bad? It's not that shocking that some of these celebs are underpaid- training their ass off and then a full schedule of live performances. Then why does it seem so glamorous to be an artist? I'm sure many of us are aware of the "shady things" that go on in these entertainment companies. Then why do people still want to become famous? Because they simply don't think through the "what if's" before signing a "life long contract." Shouldn't the artist in question read the fine print and know what's ahead for them before actually singing? Some artists make it big, some don't; it's just another gamble in life. If you make it, you make money. And chances are when you make money, it's only human nature to ask for more or finally realize what you're worth and what you deserve. On the other hand, the management companies feel that artists simply don't understand that it cost them hard work, time, and money to train / mold the artists into what they are today.

TVXQ are just one of the few that have decided to stand up for themselves, but they have built the clout to do so. They probably aren't the only ones suffering. Catching up with the basis of other artists in SM, it has been reported that each individual member of Super Junior, SNSD, and Shinee all have different contracts ranging from five years to thirteen years. Some get signed earlier, some get signed later; some debut faster, some waited longer. And because of the individual contracts, some have more "solo" projects than others- with this in turn making more money.

I'm sure many of the artists want to speak up about their situation. I think it has only come to our (the fans) senses that these artists really do not make much money, especially groups like Super Junior who has to split up their profits not only with the company but with twelve other members. But they're the ones who signed on the dotted line and given the big picture, they're still better off than most people on the planet. I mean TVXQ was said to receive around $2,000,000 US each (excluding advertising money and others). For most people, $100,000 / year is a great salary. It would take you 20 years of work to acheive $2,000,000.

The industry is a two way street. The artists need the company to market them, and the company needs the artist to make money. And I'm sure the TVXQ dispute has caused the owners of these management companies to be more aware of their own actions because their artists may turn their backs on them any minute. This controversy has opened the public to a whole new insight of the entire industry and this may cause for coming debut artists to experience either, better opportunities or even stricter rules depending on the ruling of this lawsuit.

It's not like we (the fans) don't know what's going on, we choose to look over it. "Glamour" is how you look at something. So is SM Entertainment a hell hole? Probably not, you can look at it from both perspectives and it can be argued both ways but at the end of the day it's the responsibility of the individual, no one forces anyone to do anything. Sign on the dotted line and you reap what you sow.

No More ROMEO after August 9th

Ladies, you knew the time would come eventually. SHINee will be ending promotional activities for their second mini-album Romeo on August 9th. They will hold a fanmeeting on the 9th as the group's last official activity for the album. The boys will use the fanmeeting as a special event to thank their fans for the continued support.

Although I adore SHINee, let's hope they come out with a better concept for their next album. One that doesn't involve Key having blonde hair. Please.

Just a reminder... because it's just around the corner.
But SHINee just maybe SM Entertainment's replacement for TVXQ, that is if they can't resolve their issues soon.
KJnet officially announced that SHINee will be visiting Japan on the 10th of August to hold a fan meeting at Nigano Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo. In addition, a Japanese album is said to be dropping pretty soon.
TVXQ fans don't kill me, but we all know what's happening here... more to come, very soon!

1. What do you think it means to be an idol during this generation?
Onew: There are many new things to learn and experience continuously.
Taemin: To be an idol in this generation, to be able to receive so much attention, I'm really thankful to everyone. I believe I should let everyone see the even more hard-working side of me.
Jonghyun: We received a lot of love and that we should continue to *idk*
Key: As we are able to show everyone our own personalities and unique SHINee, I am thankful to everyone.
Minho: Full of happiness. As an artist, I am able to learn a lot of new things.

2. Who is your own idol?
Onew: BoA-sunbae. Sunbae's voice and performance are the best. Everytime I see her strong stage prescence, it makes me want to practice even more.
Taemin: Right now I don't have any model (role-model?), I just want to become a skilled and strong performer in the eyes of everyone.
Jonghyun: HOT-sunbaes! I know a lot about and really like all of their songs and albums.
Key: I have a lot, and was influenced by many. I was especially influenced by HOT, SES, BoA, and DBSK-sunbaenims.
Minho: DBSK, Super Junior-sunbaenims. I want to become a performer as strong as my sunbaes. If i could give perfect performances and work together with my sunbaes, then it would be complete happiness.

3. Of the members, what qualities of their's/your's makes you feel proud/better?
Onew: I am older than Taemin!
Taemin: My age.
Jonghyun: Onew, because I am younger than him.
Key: I'm honest/straightforward.
Minho: Key is our group's parent.

4. If you come to here, then I would be happy; where is that place?

6. What do you want to say to those that want to become a star?
Onew: Cheers! Their dream is really big
Taemin: If you work hard, then everything will be fine. Fighting!

Key: My answer is the same as Jonghyun-hyung's, don't give up!
Minho: Mine would be, "If you don't give up your hopes and dreams, then there would always be a good result/ending."

7. During your trainee days, what words made you cry, and what words made you laugh?
Onew:I remember clearly the words that made me laugh: "Your voice is really good", "When you practice, it's really good to see you working so hard" and "When you greet people with a bow, you look really pretty/nice".
Taemin: I laughed because of this sentence: "You will fulfill your dream".
Jonghyun: In order to become an entertainer, I would quietly give myself confidence. I cried a lot, and laughed a lot.
Key: I laughed when my friends said, "You look more and more like an entertainer/artist now".
Minho: Nothing really; I would compliment/praise myself regularly, but also criticize myself regularly too.

8. When do you feel an adrenaline rush?
Onew: When I'm on stage after a good performance and I hear the audience's cheers and applause.
Taemin: When I watch horror movies?
Jonghyun: When I'm on stage and I hear the music start. When I hear the beginning of "Noona, You're So Pretty", I cannot use words to explain what I feel during that time.
Key: When I stand on stage as a part of SHINee.
Minho: When I give a really good performance on stage.

9. The day when you're no longer on stage, what is your other dream?
Onew: I want to show everyone a never-before-seen side of me. I would like SHINee to become even more well-loved and to show everyone an even harder working side of us. Thank you.
Taemin: To travel around the world. To see and experience different cultures, and to do many things in order to gain more experience.
Jonghyun: I want to become a great lyricist/writer.
Key: To be able to stand on a huge stage and perform. Before reaching that level, it is just a dream. If I have a chance, I would like to try MCing, DJing, acting, and other kinds of entertainment.
Minho: When I was younger, I always wanted to become a soccer player. But now I want to show everyone an even better SHINee. But soccer players don't know about/watch Minho's performance...

anjrit! kenapa sih nih terrorist-terrorist pada gak ada bosen-bosen nya bikin bom ? trus habis bikin bom di lepas di indonesia juga. huh! gak ada tempat laen apa? di wc rumah lo aja dong , jangan di hotel/tempat ramai.
emang najos banget nih indonesia , udah krisis moneter dimana-mana , kena segala macam virus (udah flu burung-lah , flu babi -lah , ddan flu-flu yg lain) , orang-orangnya juga pada demen banget protes !

dan tahun inii ?
berawal dari JW Marriot Jakarta...

setelah gw pikir kita semua udah pada aman karena para the KING of BOOM udah tamat riwayatnya di hukum mati . ehh malah , pas gw pulang sekolah (hati lagi senang-senang nih) , gw nonton tv trus gw bingung knapa nih acara tv semuanya tentang korban-korban boom ya? awalnya gw pikir mereka cuma flashback aja ke masa yg lalu-lalu , EHHHH ternyata malah ada bom lagi di 2 hotel jakarta !
trus mami gw bilang :

" ada banyak bule yang jadi korban loh ! "

ih, gw shocked dong . secara gw lagi seneng-senengnya waktu itu . akhirnya , kesenangan berubah jadi kesedihan + marah . (T_T)

ya ya yaa! alhasil , banyak manusia (akakakk!) yang ngoceh gara-gara MU kesayangan mereka (katanya) gak bisa dateng ke indo buat versus sama indo all star . heheu! gw sih gpp.

~ Lee Dong Hae [ SuperJunior] :

Dong Hae is close friends with Yunho of DBSK /TVXQ. He was put into a five member group with Lee Teuk before the debut of Super Junior, but it fell through. His father, who he hadn’t seen for six years due to his training as a singer, passed away on August 8, 2006 due to chronic illness. Some of the names of said group were “OK”, “Smile”, and “Pricor”. Recently, he was featured in BoA’s Key Of Heart Korean music video as BoA’s high school boyfriend & a robot. He was also featured in SNSD's Kissing You mv. he's so adorable!!

SHINee’s Taemin is Hot For Tutor

When he's not manipulating his dexterous finger or showing off his Ronald McDonald perm, one can find SHINee's maknae Taemin on the MBC sitcom "Tae-Hee, Hye-Gyo, Ji-Hyun". On the cheesy-ish show, he plays Junsu, a parent's dream with impeccable grades and impeccable manners. But in the first seventy-or-so episodes, the 1993-er only appeared for 1-2 minutes an episode, if at all, due to rather wooden acting that revealed his inexperience. But Taemin has improved his acting over time, leading to his first significant story arc, which finds Taemin/Junsu hot for tutor.

While Taemin/Junsu had previously revealed some evidence of his fancy for his personal tutor with lingering looks, he first begins making some progress on episode 84:

Somehow resisting the urge to start singing "Noona Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)", Taemin/Junsu later finds out that his uncle is starting to date the tutor. The jealous student engages in some sabotage in episode 87:

and finally ends up going on a semi-date with his tutor, which would be cute if it wasn't so pedo. Considering the tutor's glazed eyes at the end of the following cut, this storyline might start leaning towards some illegal actions.

Oh boy. Can you say statutory?

Second and Third Episodes of SS501 Drama MV

After more than two weeks since the release of SS501's first episode of their 20 minute drama MV, the second and third episodes have been released. All three parts contains music from their "solo collection album." These two episodes contain the songs: "If you Cannot," "Hey G," and "Please Be Nice to Me."

These MV's also continues on the theme of three guys driving around in nice cars (Lexus, 2 Lotus), a girl, and guns. If you enjoyed part one, you'll most likely enjoy these two new parts. Thanks to jasmin for the tip.
